Dr. Charlotte Pennington is a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas and specializes in providing therapy to adolescents and young adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, emotion dysregulation, impulsive/disruptive behaviors, trauma, and adjustment issues. Her goal is to help clients learn and practice skills to manage their emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and enhance their sense of self-efficacy. Dr. Pennington’s therapeutic orientation is rooted in cognitive-behavioral principles and incorporates aspects of dialectical-behavior therapy, mindfulness, interpersonal therapy, and motivational interviewing. In all of her work, Dr. Pennington takes a collaborative approach with her clients to ensure that evidence-based services are tailored to address individual needs. Dr. Pennington earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Sam Houston State University. She completed her predoctoral internship at Travis County Juvenile Probation Department and her postdoctoral fellowship at Travis County Community Justice Services. She has experience working in inpatient, outpatient, and forensic settings and completed her education and predoctoral internship from American Psychological Association (APA) accredited programs.
