Natalie Craver earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Columbus State University. She is Licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners as a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern. Prior to working in private practice Natalie worked as a therapist with Family Support Services, a nonprofit group, specializing in providing low cost treatment to individuals dealing with trauma, victimization, and recovery. Natalie is supervised by Jan Shope, LPC-S.
Natalie has extensive experience with individuals of all ages, who have experienced trauma and the residual effects of trauma. Natalie's approach is client-centered, seasoned with neurobiology; using mindfulness, trauma informed, experiential, and somatic techniques. She works with all ages and is experienced in treating the effects of trauma and abuse, overcoming anxiety, and creating healthy connections. She teaches life changing tools to replace regret, shame, and stress, with hope, peace and fulfillment. Natalie is also a trauma informed yoga teacher and uses the foundations of yoga in her treatment plans.
Natalie also specializes in teens who are breaking under the demands of academic and peer pressure and their parents who are struggling to keep them safe and maintain a connected relationship. She is an ally for LGBTQ, trained with the Human Rights Campaign to provide a safe inclusive space where all voices are heard and honored.
Natalie lives in the Lake Travis area with her family and spends most of her free time at the softball field watching her teenage daughter. She loves being a mom, enjoys all things yoga, spending time on a porch swing, completing jigsaw puzzles, and exploring new places.
Ten years ago I experienced a tragic loss that put my life and my family in a tailspin. However, through my own emotional healing, I created resilience and a great sense of peace and wholeness, moving me out of the darkness of loss. My journey has twists and turns, most of which I am not prepared for, but that I can adjust to in a way I couldn't before.
I became a therapist to help others navigate the transitions, challenges, and torrential storms of their lives. I pride myself on the sacred connection of trust and compassion I have with my clients. It is my hope you look forward to sessions and enjoy having a nonjudgmental outlet to call your own. This is a courageous choice and I would be honored to share your journey.
If I could choose a superpower, it would be the ability to heal others. What’s your superpower?
